L.B. MacDonald is a high school English, Drama and Mythology & Archetypes teacher. She holds a Bachelor of Education degree, a Teaching English as a Second Language Graduate Certificate, a Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours degree, and is currently completing a Master of Science degree in Restorative Practices (June 2018).

Previously, the author worked for the Children's Aid Society, Covenant House, and at private/independent boarding schools in Canada and California. L.B. MacDonald is an award-winning corporate writer (I.A.B.C. Silver Leaf Award), and has experience in the entertainment field as a screenwriter and independent producer.
